Teaching Academy

Cartersville Country Club has a premier teaching academy that features a state of the art, two bay teaching facility with six computerized cameras in each bay.

In 2000, Scott Hamilton, Director of Golf and Instruction at Cartersville Country Club, took an ordinary golf lesson to the next level. He created and executed a world class teaching academy at Cartersville Country Club which has greatly improved the quality of his golf lessons.  Scott is a phenomenal golf instructor with a vast playing expertise and a great understanding of the golf swing.  His style of instruction is based on the Golf Machine, which is driven on teaching a player the proper pivot, ball position and getting the club on plane.  Scott has a talent for visualizing the swing, but has incorporated video and computer-aided swing analysis to further refine his teaching techniques.

Scott teaches individuals of all skill levels and ages from all across the state of Georgia.  Most notably, he teaches PGA Tour Player, Jason Bohn, LPGA Tour Player, Vicki Goetez Ackerman, and Nationwide Tour Player, John Kimball.  Additionally, Scott teaches a number of mini tour players, collegiate golfers, and some of Georgia’s finest junior golfers, as well as our club members.

If you are interested in scheduling a private golf lesson with Scott Hamilton at the Cartersville Country Club Teaching Academy, please contact Cartersville Country Club’s Golf Pro Shop at 770-382-1611.
