Cartersville Country Club has all of the standard country club tournaments such as Member-Guest, Club Championship, etc. plus other great events unique to our Club. We provide events that cater to all levels of play within the same event by using our handicap or flight system. The MGA and LGA schedule is listed below. Golf Course to Close
August 23 until September 7, 2010
As most of you are aware, we have continued to suffer from the intense heat and humidity over the last three months. Your support and understanding of the situation and willingness to adhere to a limited playing schedule has been greatly appreciated.
After discussing the situation with our Golf Course Superintendent, Bryan Miller, the Board of Directors has approved the following action to help restore our greens to normal playing conditions and allow members to look forward to an enjoyable Fall Golfing Season.
· The Fall Aerification has been moved up two weeks and will be performed on
August 23-24, 2010
· The Golf Course will be closed for play from August 23, 2010 until September 7, 2010.
· To help reduce operating expenses, the Dining Room will be closed for lunch on Tuesday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 31st.
The Board is fully supportive of the efforts which have been made by Bryan and the Golf Maintenance Staff during this critical and unprecedented period of time. We have not experienced this type of prolonged heat and humidity for as long as most of us can remember.
